10 questions with..
Hello Ash! So happy to get to chat to you. Would love to know more about you and your background! Have you always been living in NYC? If not, since when and what are your favourite parts about this city?
I moved to NYC from Tel Aviv, Israel in 2016. My favorite part about NY is the energy of the city and the people! It’s a non-stop city with a high concentration of some of the most amazing, talented and smartest people in the world.
Your job sounds really exciting! Please tell us more about what you do!
I founded the Ultra Leadership Method – which is the coaching technique for setting goals and achieving them based on the 12 steps to power performance formula which I’ve created after 9 years of success coaching and leadership development training experience. These days I launched my online training academy which helps entrepreneurs succeed at their work and business goals, and I’m currently lunching my own ULTRA products line of cosmetics and health bars.
That sounds fantastic! How did you get to do this?
I’ve completed some of the toughest ultra-marathon races in the world since I’m 23, I started my coaching career at 17, and I have several years of experience training security forces and special forces of Israel in leadership development, since my Israeli Defense Forces service in 2010. I also have a B.A in Psychology.
And by connecting all these dots from the psychology and leadership fields to the sports and coaching experience, I was able to start my own ULTRA lifestyle brand which empowers people to succeed at their goals in life, business or sports.
What do you find the most exciting about your work?
Meeting extremely successful people who live up to their dreams and prove me that the skills and values I teach are so essential for fulfilling one’s potential, as well as receiving feedback from my mentees about how I’ve impacted their lives and inspired them to become a better version of themselves.
What have been the biggest challenges you faced in career or life and what helped you overcome them?
My biggest challenge in my life was completing and winning the 125 mile (=200 km) ultra-marathon in 2015, which is the longest and toughest running race in Israel. At the 115 mile point, after running for 30 hours straight, my body demanded that I quit, and I really wanted to give up because I could not take anymore pain. Yet, at that moment I realized that this is the real test, and only at that point the ultra-marathon really begins. When you meet yourself at your most difficult point and you have 2 choices – either to quit and give up or to fight and win. I chose to fight and win and to stick to my goal until its fulfilled.
What do you like to wear at work? Do you have any favourite pieces?
I like wearing dresses and high heels. I’m really connected to my feminine side. I don’t have a specific brand that is my favorite.
What’s your off-duty style?
It really varies !
What is your favourite Changing Factor bag?
I love the Alien Large Briefcase.
Now when it comes to having fun… what do you like to do in your free time??
I love going to Broadway shows, ballet shows, gallery openings, exercising at the gym or swimming and just strolling on the beach during summer time.
