10 questions with ...

Hello Viktorija! So happy to get to chat to you. Would love to know more about you and your background! Have you always been living in Amsterdam? If not, since when and what are your favourite parts about this city?

No, Amsterdam is the third place I am calling home. Two years ago, I came to understand that London became my comfort zone and it was time to challenge myself again. Before that, I lived in Lithuania, my home country.

De Pijp is my favorite area in Amsterdam, which is where I happen to live. I spend most of my free time around home, just because everything I need is very close by. Many bars and cafes to choose from for a quick bite after work or over the weekend.

I share the same affinity for Jordaan area. I am working in this area so I got to know it quite well. There are many independent stores and again cafes, which are literally on the canals. A super poetic and quite romantic area, even a short walk is always special and really breathtaking here.

That sounds really impressive! How did you get to do this?

I would say it was a mixture of working hard, believing in what I am doing and of course being a bit lucky at the right time and right place.

What do you find most exciting about your work?

It is good blend of art, trends, psychology, marketing, aesthetics and much more. A wide range of references, knowledge and understanding of different cultures is needed for diverse groups of clients and projects. It keeps my eyes always opened and it encourages me to grow not only as a person but also as a professional which I enjoy a lot.

What have been the biggest challenges you faced in career or life and what helped you overcome them?

I believe the biggest challenges and victories are yet to come.

What do you like to wear at work? Do you have any favourite pieces?

Wearing anything in leather, merino or linen makes me feel comfortable and confident. My style really depends on my mood and of course the weather – recently I have been influenced by the Dutch lifestyle. Nicely cut styles rather than color schemes are prioritised. Something more loose rather than tight and skinny. I do not see anything bad in wearing special, more unique pieces on daily basis - why not to make every day an occasion!

What’s your off-duty style?

Simply the same.

What is your favourite Changing Factor bag?

Alien Clutch Bag in black, because it is a perfect size for all my daily 'must haves' and on top of that also fits into my bicycle basket haha I also love the Globetrotter wallet in red - such a cute extravaganza.

Now when it comes to having fun… what do you like to do in your free time??

I love going out and dance the night away with a good bunch of friends. I also enjoy exploring new exhibitions, hotspots or venues and if food is involved I am even happier! However, harmony and balance are equally important to me. I always appreciate a good movie in, with a homemade dinner and a glass of wine.

My favorite restaurants: Morgan and Mees, Bar Basquiat and many others; hotel: the Pulitzer or Dylan; coffee place: Libertine cafe; city serenity: Vondel or Beatrix parks and the terrace side at the Zoo with the pink flamingos pond in front; when it comes to cultural places: Rijks and Voorlinden, Boijmans Van Beuningen museums and Public house of Art, Nationale Opera Hosue; retail store: Time & Style; club - de School.
